UK’s Foreign Secretary in Benghazi to show Support for Rebels

This move comes as the collation has just deployed Apache attack helicopters to complement the air bombing capabilities.

Diplomatically this further isolates the Gaddafi regime which is seen to be crumbling with mass defections this week of high ranking military officials as well as general troops.

It is clear that the NATO mission in Libya is that of regime change so the importance of the Mr Hague’s visit is seen as essential to maintain link with the rebels who are seen as the government in-waiting. This question is how long will they and the West have to wait?
